4 tips to avoid smells in the armpits

To combat armpit smells and avoid the discomfort they cause, it is important to understand what causes the armpit smell and how to eliminate it from the root.

First of all, the bad smell in the armpits does not appear due to poor hygiene, but has to do with the action of the apocrine glands and hormonal factors.

The problem of bad smell begins in the sweat glands, which generate sweat in our body.

There are two types of glands: the eccrine glands, which are distributed throughout the body and are responsible for regulating its temperature through sweating, and the apocrine glands that are located in specific areas of the body such as the armpits, inner thighs, etc.

The apocrine glands are those that generate a fluid within the greasiest hair follicle, which is released in certain situations and does not evaporate. This liquid serves as food for different bacteria present in the armpits that, when metabolised, cause the bad smell that then permeates our clothes.

Here are 4 basic tips to avoid armpit smell:

  1. Shower daily and wash your armpits well. If you tend to have a strong underarm smell, use germicidal soaps to help kill bacteria in this area.
  2. Shave your armpits, since this helps our body to limit the production of sweat.
  3. Avoid tight clothing and clothing made with synthetic materials that prevent the skin from perspiring and anchor bad smells more
  4. Wash clothes regularly, especially if sweating is abundant or there is a strong smell in this area.

If the smell of sweat has already been impregnated in clothing and we want to eliminate it, it is important to eliminate the bacteria that are present and produce it.

Using the right product is essential since most products generally only hide the smell without eliminating the bacteria that produce it and, therefore, the bad smell remains or reappears shortly after washing. To eliminate the root problem, we recommend that you apply Laundry Disinfectant – White Flowers in each wash. Just adding the product to the fabric softener compartment will kill up to 99.9% of the germs present in clothing.

Sanytol does not contain bleach and therefore does not harm clothing. It will not only eliminate the bad smell by the roots, but it will also leave you a pleasant clean aroma in your clothes.

Start applying it regularly in your washes, and you will see how your clothes’ bad smells disappear with each wash.
